1 Auf Stoff

Durch Malerei können Vorstellungen und Ideen in einem Moment festgehalten werden. Dazu werden flüssige, noch nicht feste Farben mit Malwerkzeugen wie Pinsel, Schwamm oder Spachtel auf einen Grund aufgetragen. Nach dem traditionellen Verständnis ist Malerei meistens zweidimensional, sie ist umgeben von einer Grenze, bildet also einen Ausschnitt einer Welt und sie ist vertikal aufgerichtet. Sie ist eine Ausdrucksform innerhalb der Kunst. In einem gemalten Bild wird der realen Welt eine weitere entgegen- oder dazugestellt. Das Ergebnis wird dabei immer von zwei Faktoren bestimmt: Ideen und Virtuosität der Produzierenden wirken zusammen mit dem Zufall und der Natur des Materials, das verwendet wird. Es entsteht die Vermischung von mehr oder weniger Unkontrollierbarem mit mehr oder weniger Kontrollierbarem.

   The German musician Dirk Von Lowtzow (Tocotronic and Phantom/Ghost) wrote in issue 81 of the Swiss art magazine Parkett that: „She is not molesting.“ He meant that von Bonin is giving us the freedom to make our own way into her work and its world."
